It's a bit of a long story,
but one of the most valuable experiences of my entire professional
career occurred the day after I started my five-year tenure as a
Cooperative Extension agent.
In a matter of hours, I learned the essentials of working with mass media outlets and have since used that knowledge to create award-winning radio programs, television programs (at right) and newspaper columns.
While I'm not going to reveal my secrets here, I will say they have almost nothing to do with deluging your local mass media outlets with blizzards of press releases!
